Integration Process

  1. Review of Course Learning Objectives
    Understand the learning objectives of your course to effectively integrate edX content into Moodle.

  2. Needs Assessment
    Evaluate factors like content relevance, resource availability, and customization needs when selecting and integrating edX courses into Moodle.

  3. Selection of edX Courses
    Choose edX courses aligning with your curriculum’s learning objectives, ensuring relevance, quality, and content alignment.

  4. Content Customization
    Customize edX content to meet specific course needs in Moodle. Add supplementary materials, align learning activities, and refine content as required.
    You are suggested to verify the learning materials whether they meet the needs of the aligned course topic.

  5. Integration with Assessment
    Integrate assessments from edX courses into Moodle’s structure for seamless evaluation and integration of online and offline learning activities.
    Lecturer may consider a complete edX course by learner as a regular course assignment score with their students acknowledgement.

  6. Support and Training
    Explore the support and training resources available to instructors to effectively utilize platform integration for enhanced teaching and learning experiences.

  7. Case Studies and Examples

  8. Progress of Learner:
    The students can check their progress by themselves through ‘progress’ tab.

How to Register

  1. Through ICE Institute
    Register via scholarships provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture through the ICE Institute, which opens in two periods each year. Participants can follow it by registering according to the given stages and awaiting the announcement of the results of acceptance of online course participants. The ICE Institute collaborates with well-known national and international universities through Coursera and edX. You are free to choose online courses from the catalog, within the limit of the number of courses that can be selected in the registration form.   2. Through free access account edX-UPH
    UPH will provide free access accounts for students to access classes and obtain certificates. Therefore, professors need to select the right courses that can be integrated into relevant online courses related to the topics covered in the course. Professors need to inform the Center for Teaching and Learning about the selection of courses, student emails, and the number of students who will use this edX account, and accounts will be created for the students.
