Microcredentials are small courses in a specific area of study, focusing on upskilling and reskilling in short timeframes to meet the needs of employers and industry. Microcredentials are recently rising because they offer a more personalized, on-demand learning experience, appealing to workers or learners who are required to learn specific skills, apply them on the job, and immediately have a credential to show for their effort. They are defined in Permendikbud number 53 of 2023, Article 42, as one of the learning methods that promote knowledge, skills, and competence gain. Unlike traditional professional development courses or programs, microcredentials emphasize personalized, accessible, affordable, flexible, and technology-enhanced learning experiences.

This Microcredentials Workshop shares the importance of staying ahead of the curve in an educational landscape that is constantly evolving.
