The purpose of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is to be a hub of pedagogy innovation through technology integration, curriculum innovation, evidence-based learning through meaningful learning assessment, and promoting student success.

Become a nationally and internationally recognized as a model resource center for curriculum innovation, teaching, and learning and technology integration toward student success in higher education.

  1. Defines best practices incorporating professional development that ensures quality course design through the effective integration of technology, innovative teaching strategies and learning assessments.
  2. Provides high-quality, mission-critical services to the University.


  1. Partner with faculty, students, and administration to promote innovative and excellent teaching and to foster student learning in a meaningful manner.
  2. Partner with academic and non-academic units to develop professional development programs for students, graduates, and public.
  3. Serve all academic units by continuously collaborating with them to design, develop, revise, and deliver technically innovative and high-quality curriculum.
  4. Encourage innovative and transformative teaching through technology integration and faculty development.
  5. Support all modes of delivery, including face-to-face, blended/hybrid, and distance.
  6. Facilitate and inspire faculty efforts in assessing meaningful student learning toward student success.
