Generative AI in Education:
Opportunities, Concerns, and Solutions
On Thursday, August 29, 2024, the 2nd edition of the CTL Awards event was held at Hope Auditorium to recognize and appreciate the lecturers and study programs that have worked diligently over the past year to develop engaging and high-quality courses.
Generative AI technology has become one of the leading trends transforming various industries in today’s digital era. The integration of artificial intelligence into education is driving a paradigm shift in the learning process, offering great opportunities as well as complex challenges for educators. Implementing AI in education requires deep ethical considerations and appropriate adjustments to educational goals.
In response to this development, the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at UPH is once again holding the CTL Award event with the theme “Generative AI in Education: Opportunities, Concerns, and Solutions.” As part of the award, a seminar was held in alignment with the event. This seminar is part of CTL’s annual efforts to recognize the UPH academic community’s continued commitment to improving the quality of education. The event aims to discuss how AI can be effectively integrated into education and to address the challenges and concerns that may arise.
